Column mapping

Column mapping tells Mekusheret which board column is the name, which is the amount and which is the email — so every field fills in automatically on each issue.

What column mapping is

Every board has columns with names you chose. Mekusheret can't guess that a column called “Client” is the customer name, or that “Amount due” is the amount. Mapping is the one-time setup that links your board columns to the document fields.

Set up the mapping

  1. 1

    Open Mekusheret settings

On the board, open Mekusheret settings and choose “Column mapping”.

  2. 2

    Pick the name column

Choose which column holds the customer name or details.

  3. 3

    Pick the amount column

Choose the numeric column that holds the amount to charge.

  4. 4

    Pick extra fields (optional)

You can also map an email, item description or phone number.

  5. 5

    Save

Once saved, the details are read automatically on every issue.

Tips for a clean mapping

  • Make sure the amount column is a numbers column, not text
  • Keep customer names consistent across items
  • If you add a new column, return to the mapping screen to include it
If a required field (like email) isn't mapped or is empty, you can still complete it manually on the issuance screen.
